What is Thrive market?
First off, if you’re unfamiliar with Thrive here is a quick lo-down! Thrive Market is an online wholesale market to buy healthier items at wholesale price! Think Costco meets Whole Foods!
Not only are you buying items cheaper, but you’re also supporting a family business that gives back to the community. Thrive Market owners say, “Everyone should have access to healthy products, reliable information, and affordable prices.”
They also vet the products they offer in their market really well.
“We don't claim to carry everything—but we do carry the best version of everything. In fact, for every product that makes the cut, there are dozens of others that didn't.
Simple is better when it comes to food—fewer ingredients, transparent sourcing, honest labels. The same goes for makeup. And cleaning supplies. And supplements.”
Paleo Camping and Backpacking Thrive Market Favorites
Planning meals for camping and backpacking is often overwhelming! You don’t want to bring too much… or too little… but also finding healthier backcountry options is difficult!
For the past 1.5 years I have been a member of Thrive Market Pantry and have saved over $1,000 by purchasing healthier options at wholesale cost. Now, this is NOT a thrive market sponsored post or ad! I just wanted to share some of my favorites as I know the struggle of planning food for your trip all too well.

Thrive Market Backpacking & Camping DINNER Favorites
This is the only dinner item I have purchased from thrive. Often our dinners include dehydrated bone broth, dehydrated veggies, pho mix, and maybe another pouch of salmon or chicken.
Or, we buy a Paleo freeze dried meal.

Lastly… I purchase these items off thrive and usually bring them in small containers on the trail:
Olive oil or Avocado oil
Paleo Primal Avocado Mayo (this keeps well!)
That’s my round up for now! I don’t buy everything off thrive since they don’t have a large selection of dehydrated/instant/freeze fried foods. But being able to purchase these quality items is a great way to save money and keep nutrition up on the trail!
I source the rest of our food from REI, Amazon, and our local healthy grocery store (New Seasons or Whole Foods).
